I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Knee Regulatory Research Center and the Center for Free Enterprise in the John Chambers College of Business & Economics at West Virginia University. 

I earned my Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University, where I also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Free Market Institute. Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained a Master of Science in International Agribusiness and a Graduate Certificate in New Institutional Social Sciences at North Dakota State University. My academic journey began at the University of Ghana, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science with a concentration in Agribusiness, followed by a Master of Philosophy in Agribusiness.

My research interests include health economics, public health policy, international economics, economic development, and agribusiness. My recent research delves into the opioid crisis, regulatory responses to the Covid-19 pandemic, scope of practice, and occupational licensing. I explore these topics using contemporary causal inference techniques. My prior publications examine wide-ranging topics, including willingness to pay, climate change adaptation strategies, pesticide usage and frequency of application, food safety, environmental pollution, foreign aid, women empowerment, education, and economic growth.
